My Skin Care Routine + a GIVEAWAY

Skin Care is one of the things I go in and out of using regularly, but I always feel much better about myself when I'm doing a regular skin care routine Things that affect my routine include: pregnancy, nursing, budget, time, etc. I find that I switch out certain products depending on what's going on in my life at the moment. There are so many great products out there and so many more are starting to focus on offering more natural solutions which is great.
As a mom, I've found that a little extra self care provides me with a little boost of confidence and I really enjoy the 5 minutes or so that I spend on myself and my skin care routine. My face products are one of the only things in our house that belong to me, and only me. So I've decided to treat myself to a few of my favorite products and soak up the extra 5 minutes of quiet time I get each morning and night.
With that said, bear with me as this is a bit of a longer post, but it has lots of good information and product shares! Some of you know this about me and some of you don't, but if you follow my blog, you'll come to learn that I am a MAJOR researcher. I mean, I research things to death before making a final decision. Sometimes I'll research and read blogs and watch videos and so on for weeks before making a decision on what things I want to buy. Sometimes I wish I wasn't this way, but it also results in me being much more confident in the items I choose to buy. I've finally decided on, and invested in, a few skin care products that I've been using regularly for about a month and am really loving. *All opinions and product recommendations are my own; this is not a sponsored post*

 

MORNING ROUTINE

Pixi Hydrating Milky Mist - I use this pretty much anywhere in my routine, but usually right after cleanser/toner and before serum. It feels so nice and refreshing!

Indie Lee Rosehip Cleanser - all natural and super refreshing/light face wash

Drunk Elephant C-Firma Day Serum - all natural vitamin c serum that I've been using every morning and love. There aren't a ton of natural serums, but this company is raved about!

The Ordinary Natural Moisturizing Factors + HA - this line is SUPER inexpensive and I love their moisturizer - especially in the morning!

NIGHT ROUTINE

The two most important things in my night time routine are double cleansing and the Pixi Glow Tonic. I still really want to add in a night time serum, but haven't decided on which one I really want to try yet (and they aren't cheap).

Pixi Glow Tonic - this toner is AMAZING! I never got breakouts until I got pregnant and I've been getting hormonal breakouts since! I use this every night and it really helps to clear up those breakouts! I've also recommended it to friends and they love it! It's sold many places, but you can grab it at Target!

Indie Lee Rosehip Cleanser - use this for my first cleanse at night and to remove makeup

Min Erbs Charcoal & Rose Face Cleanser - an all natural charcoal face wash made by a small women-owned company. I use this as my second cleanse at night.

The Ordinary 100% Plant Derived Squalane - used as extra moisture. Another item I love from the super affordable line called The Ordinary. From their site: "Squalane is a saturated and stable hydrocarbon that is found naturally in the skin. It has very high emollience, is an exceptional hydrator and can prevent ongoing loss of hydration that impairs dermal suppleness."

Dr. Dennis Gross Hyaluronic Moisture Cushion - I love a good moisturizer at night and I've always loved Dr. Dennis Gross products. This one does not disappoint.
