Good morning! Is anyone else freezing out there? I know that winter has just begun and we have to endure this freezing weather for a while longer, but I can't help but think about spring. I can't wait for the first green leaves to come to life again, the birds to chirp, the sun to shine, and the bright colors to emerge once again.
Today, I am so excited to be a part of the Winged Blog Tour
! Winged is the beautiful line
from Bonnie Christine of Going Home to Roost.
Bonnie is one of my favorite designers for Art Gallery Fabrics and as many of you already know, I carry a pair of leggings and a headband in the shop made out of a fabric that she designed (you can see more on this later in the post).
Bonnie was also inspired by spring when she created this line. She says, "I have always noticed the very first butterfly each spring. it has been one of the sweetest sightings for me each year. It means a new season is upon us, warmer weather is on it’s way and fresh blooms will be emerging from the ground."
This week, I had the pleasure of making a few things with Bonnie's Plumage Apricot knit fabric. I decided to make a pair of leggings and a headband since that is what I do. I'm also considering adding this fabric to my Spring collection, so let me know what you think!
What do you all think? Isn't the color just lovely? Below are a few spring-inspired outfits I put together using the leggings that I made!
Here is an adorable picture of a little babe wearing her Plumage Poppy headband which is available in our shop here. We also make an adorable knotted bow and leggings out of the Plumage Poppy.
Be sure to check out a few of my favorite projects from the tour so far:
Winged Pillow by Rossie Hutchinson
Paper Mache Deer by Erin Stewart
You can see yesterday's part of the blog hop (also one of my favorites) over at One Shabby Chick; tune in tomorrow at Sew Caroline; and see the whole schedule on Bonnie's page.
